Websites for tradesmen
A site you own, built in three weeks, for trades who are tired of paying for the same lead four times.
Most tradespeople I speak to are not short of work. They are short of control. The lead platforms sell one job to four of you and charge all four. Word of mouth brings in the good customers, and then those customers look you up before they call — and find a Facebook page that stopped in 2019.
That last part is the expensive bit. A recommendation gets checked before it gets rung. Twenty years of good work can lose to someone younger with a tidier website.

- 35% of UK sole traders have no website DSIT, UK Business Data Survey 2024
Renting leads versus owning a website
This is not really an argument about money. It is an argument about what you still have at the end of it.
What you actually get
- Pages written from a phone call with you, not filled with stock waffle
- Click-to-call on every screen, sized for a thumb
- Your Google reviews on the front page where they do some work
- Google Business Profile claimed, filled in and pointing at the site
- Loads in under two seconds on 4G
- Domain registered in your name, transferable whenever you want
Different trades need different things
A plumber's website and an electrician's website are not the same job, and anyone selling you one template for both is selling you a template.
Plumbers and heating
Emergency first. The phone number above the fold, availability stated plainly, and a page for the thing they are actually searching at 11pm — no hot water, boiler leaking, no heating.
Electricians
Accreditations where people look for them. NICEIC or NAPIT logos near the top, EICR and certification work explained in plain words, landlord obligations spelled out.
Builders and renovation
Photographs, and a lot of them. Before and after on real jobs beats any amount of copy, and the enquiry form needs to ask enough to filter out the tyre-kickers.
Roofers
Proof of insurance and guarantees stated up front, because that is the first thing a nervous homeowner asks after the last bloke disappeared.
Three weeks, start to finish
- Week one Work out what you actually need A phone call, your job photos, your service areas. I write the copy and send you the structure before anything gets built.
- Week two Build it The site goes together on a preview link you can look at on your phone. Click-to-call everywhere, your reviews on the front page, loads in under two seconds.
- Week three Put it live and make it findable Domain pointed, Google Business Profile sorted, local listings consistent, and a walkthrough so you can change your own prices without ringing me.

Questions people actually ask
Why not just use Checkatrade or MyBuilder?
Use them if they work for you. But notice what you are buying: access to your own customers, monthly, forever. Stop paying and it stops. I would rather build you something you keep.
I already have a website. Is it worth redoing?
Maybe not. Ask for the free audit first. If the answer is that yours is fine and you should fix two small things yourself, that is what I will tell you.
Do I own it?
Yes. Domain in your name, site transferable, no contract holding it hostage. If you want to move it to someone else in a year, you can, and I will help you do it.
How long?
Three weeks from when you send me your details. Most of that is waiting on photos from you.
What if I have no photos and do not know what to write?
Completely normal. Photos off your phone of finished jobs beat stock images every time, and I write the copy from a twenty-minute call.
Is there a monthly tie-in?
The build is a one-off. Hosting and upkeep is monthly and you can stop it whenever — the site goes with you.
Want to know where you stand?
Send me your website address, or your business name if you have not got one. I will look at it properly and tell you what I find — no charge and no pitch deck afterwards.
